More than coffee. More than cookies.

Solstice Bow & Brew Co. was never just about starting a business. It was born from a place much deeper than that—a journey of addiction, recovery, faith, and finding my way back to myself.

There was a time in my life when I couldn’t see beyond the darkness I was living in. Addiction had taken pieces of me I never thought I’d lose, and somewhere along the way, I became someone I hardly recognized. I carried shame, uncertainty, and the fear that the life I once imagined for myself might no longer be possible.

But even in my darkest moments, God never stopped working in my life.

Recovery wasn’t a straight path. It came with setbacks, uncomfortable truths, and moments when simply choosing to keep going required more strength than I thought I had. I learned that healing doesn’t mean erasing your past. It means finding the courage to face it, forgive yourself, and build a life beyond it.

As a mother of three, I began to realize how much beauty exists in the moments we often overlook. Being present with my children, laughing in the kitchen, waking up with a clear mind, and finding peace in the ordinary became things I no longer took for granted.

And somewhere in the middle of rebuilding my life, I started dreaming again.

What began with homemade cookies in my kitchen became something that represented far more than a business. It became a reflection of the woman I was becoming and the life I was choosing to create.

The name Solstice is part of my own name, but its meaning has become deeply personal. A solstice represents a turning point, a changing of seasons, and the shift between darkness and light. To me, it’s a reminder that no season lasts forever, even the ones we think we’ll never make it through.

That’s the heart behind Solstice Bow & Brew Co.

I wanted to create something that brought people comfort, connection, and a little light into their everyday lives. Something that reminded us to slow down, appreciate the smallest moments, and recognize that beautiful things can come from even the most difficult beginnings.

I don’t share my story because I have everything figured out. I’m still growing, still healing, and still becoming. I share it because I know what it feels like to wonder if your best days are already behind you.

And I know now that they aren’t.

If you’re in a season of starting over, struggling to find yourself, or simply trying to make it through another day, I hope Solstice reminds you that your story isn’t finished.

Your past does not define the beauty of what you can become.
